Erin is a licensed art therapist and counselor in training, who is deeply passionate about harnessing the healing qualities of the creative process. Erin recognizes that sometimes, words can fall short in expressing complex or bewildering emotions, and believes that art serves as a powerful tool for gaining personal insight.
Erin graduated with a master’s degree in Art Therapy with an emphasis in counseling from Mount Mary University awarded in 2023. Additionally, Erin earned a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Monmouth University in 2011, and another Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Long Island University in 2009. With a broad spectrum of experience, Erin has worked with individuals of all ages grappling with issues such as anxiety, stress, trauma, and developmental disabilities. Her therapeutic approach is characterized by the integration of mindfulness and music, creating a holistic and enriching experience for their clients. In her practice, Erin adopts a client-centered perspective, prioritizing active listening and compassionate reflection during sessions. Before embarking on her journey in art therapy, Erin spent over two decades as a full-time glassblower and artist. Outside of her professional pursuits, Erin is an enthusiastic hockey fan and player, avidly supporting her favorite team, the Rangers. Erin frequently attends live shows, relishes moments by the lakefront, and maintains a regular practice in the yoga studio.
