Jahwuan Morgan, a long-time resident of Milwaukee, is a seasoned community healerl serving as an art therapy assistant at Art Therapy House Inc. Jahwuan joined the Art Therapy House Inc. team back in 2022 to help us achieve our goal to provide accessible art therapy services to the Greater Milwaukee community. Prior to his current position, he spent fifteen years as a caregiver for individuals with mental and physical disabilities, honing his skills in compassion and support.
Known for his easy-going demeanor and strong work ethic, Jahwuan approaches every task with diligence and commitment, striving for excellence in all endeavors. He holds a profound belief in the transformative power of art therapy, recognizing its capacity to provide solace, impart knowledge, and facilitate profound healing on a soulful level. Currently, Jahwuan is furthering his professional qualifications by pursuing certification as a Peer Support Specialist, a testament to his ongoing commitment to personal and professional growth.
During his downtime, Jahwuan loves to get creative, often tinkering away on his own artwork. He's also a big fan of kicking back with some tunes (especially if it’s the Wu-Tang Clan). But what really makes him tick is hanging out with his family, soaking up those precious moments together. And when summer comes around, you'll catch him at his family's produce stand, slinging watermelons with a grin on his face.
Jahwuan's journey underscores his unwavering dedication to serving others, his steadfast work ethic, and his profound appreciation for the therapeutic potential of art. In his role as an art therapy assistant, he continues to leverage his upbringing and personal experiences to provide compassionate and effective support to those in need.
